Embrace Mental Health Awareness with Self-Care Saturday

Embrace Mental Health Awareness with Self-Care Saturday

With all of the pressures of life, the importance of self-care cannot be overstated - especially for busy teens like us.

We're often juggling school, extracurricular activities, social lives, and the ever-present demands of our parents. Recognizing this need, Hiya is stepping up to promote mental health awareness among teens by the promotion of Self-Care Saturday!

Self-Care Saturday means dedicating a day to prioritize self-care activities, focusing on physical, mental, and emotional well-being to rejuvenate and prepare for the week ahead.

As part of this initiative, Hiya is not just offering special products, but also encouraging teens to embrace self-care routines that nourish their mental well-being.

In a recent interview with teen CEO Alejandra Wells of Hiya, she shared some of her own favorite self-care practices, which include indulging in face masks, binge-watching new shows on livestreams, enjoying snacks, tackling puzzles, and experimenting with different hairstyles.

"I believe that self-care isn't just about pampering yourself, but it's also about taking time to relax and recharge," Alejandra said. "Whether it's through skincare, entertainment, or simply enjoying some delicious snacks, self-care routines can have a profound impact on our mental health."

With the rise of social media and the constant bombardment of curated lifestyles, it's easy for teens to feel the pressure to constantly be productive or appear perfect. However, campaigns like Self-Care Saturday aim to remind young people that it's okay to take a step back, prioritize their mental well-being, and engage in activities that bring them joy and relaxation.

Hiya's Self-Care Saturday campaign encourages teens to share their own self-care routines on social media using the hashtag #HiyaSelfCareSaturday.

Whether it's practicing mindfulness, going for a walk in nature, journaling, or simply spending time with loved ones, Hiya wants to hear about the diverse ways in which teens are prioritizing their mental health.
