Hiya, a teen mental health awareness website and online jewelry boutique, is
thrilled to announce that our 15-year-old CEO, Alejandra Wells, will be honored as the Young Leader of the Year at MENTOR Nebraska’s Excellence in Mentoring Awards.
This award recognizes young leaders and mentors who have shown exceptional service to their community and demonstrated significant leadership potential.
Alejandra has advocated for mental health awareness through Hiya's unique blend of commerce, care, and education. Under her leadership, Hiya has not only prospered as a business but has also significantly contributed to the well-being of youth in the community by integrating mental health support with everyday consumer experiences.
Alejandra, a sophomore at Burke High School, shared her excitement about the award: "Being named Young Leader of the Year is such a blessing. I haven’t experienced recognition like this before. It allows me to show the world who I am and what my business is here for. Even at your worst, it’s not over. Keep writing your story."
MENTOR Nebraska’s Excellence in Mentoring Awards is just around the corner, with a virtual awards show scheduled for tomorrow (4/17), and an in-person reception on May 1.
